She was the percussionist for Charlotte area singer/songwriter Christy Snow, playing on two of her albums. She also played percussion for other area singer/songwriters before fronting her own band, Friend of the Family, for two years.

Since leaving Charlotte in 2002, she has sat in on percussion for a number of acts all over the country, and performed her own music in venues across the U.S., including Hawaii. She continues to make music both as a solo performer and as a percussive String Poet.
